My Uncle....And the Hurricanes....
Sep. 20th, 2004 07:25 amMy uncle was finally able to get back to his home in Florida. He left shortly before the first hurricane to come visit his family here, and hasn't been able to get home since. It had been a few months, I think.
The other day, after his dog had a seizure that lasted 3 1/2 hours, he decided to go home.
Based on his description, his house is fine, and only lost power for 3 hours. The neighbors down the street lost power for 7 days. A few trees are down, but none at his house. His daughter decided to stay throughout all the storms. She says she will never do that again.
