Bombs

Apparently, my old high school had to be evacuated a few minutes ago. A package with a bomb inside was found on the school grounds. All the high school students were evacuated to the middle school. Scary. I only found out about it when they interrupted a show I was watching.

I haven't been there in about 5 years, but I hope everyone is doing ok.

And at the same time a tire plant blew up.

ETA: They just said that the bomb squad has been sent to the high school, students can be picked up at the elementary school, and all local schools will go home at 2 PM. And I just remembered that my cousin is in the middle of all this. I hope he's ok.

ETA: My cousin is ok. He just isn't allowed to get anywhere near the high school parking lot until sometime tonight. He will then be able to get his car, along with everybody else.

The guy who quit as the Music Director at my church one Sunday? He is now working at my old high school as a music teacher, apparently.

I just saw him on the video they showed when they were showing the high school. He was wandering around.

He really shouldn't have left the church. It was safer.

Finally

They finally told what kind of bomb it was. A pipe bomb. A pipe bomb with a few ingredients missing--such as a lot of explosives. If they can ever find out who did it, they're pressing charges.

It was put into an area of the gym, and caused all the chaos.

I've also heard that it was delivered as a package, so I'm not sure which is true.
