Just so everyone knows, I probably won't be seen very much on AIM, ICQ or Livejournal today. I'm going to be writing the Batman/Catwoman essay.

ETA: Oh, and everyone can continue voting for the Cordelia username until later this evening. That is when the voting will close.

ETA 2: Oh, I have so many Catwoman and Batman tpb's. I just pulled out all the relevant ones for this essay. I have 10--at least. I haven't checked the other shelf. (Batman: The Long Halloween is on the other shelf--probably a few others.)

I'm taking a brief break for now. Mostly because I found so many different versions of Catwoman's origins that I couldn't figure out what to write. And this was Post-Crisis.

Although, I did find an interview with Ed Brubaker from 2001 that said this about it:

"There have been so many versions of Catwoman," he says. "Every time there's been a reboot like CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS or ZERO HOUR, they've jettisoned part of Catwoman's history. The more I work on the book, the more I'm finding out things that I recall being part of Catwoman from when I was a kid are things that have been taken away."

ETA: Oh, and the confusion about whether she was a prostitute at some point was solved thanks to the wonderful [profile] canonistas group. She was, and that's how she met Holly.
