I just got back from my grandmother's house. Dad decided to start trying to fix the bathroom floor. After a lot of problems, he apparently started to work on it at 6 AM--and didn't finish until around 12:45 PM.

The problem with staying at my grandmother's old house? No cable TV. (Just ABC, NBC, and CBS.) No computer. A couch that will cause you to sink into its depths, and you then cannot get back up. (That last part wasn't an exaggeration, scarily enough.)

I just got back, and read my Friends List--which went as far as skip=450, before it hit anything I had seen before.

Dad (and the repairman) discovered exactly why the bathroom floor was having problems. Apparently, when the house was built, whoever built it didn't really spend enough time on it. They just threw some old wood together, nailed it to the bottom of something that looked nice (so nobody would notice) and used that as the floor. Dad's replaced it, so hopefully it will be better. That, and there is now new tiles put down.
