I don't believe I ever posted about this in this journal before. For the past four (possibly longer, I'm not sure) years, a relative of Mom's (her cousin, but they acted like sisters) has had ovarian cancer. She thought it was gone (it was in remission), and then recently it came back, and it's been basically downhill for her from there.
Well, a few hours ago her husband called and told Mom that if she wanted to see Gwen one last time--while she was still alive--she had better get over there now. She was there from noon until around 1 PM.
She just found out that Gwen finally died at 3:15 PM. From what everyone could tell, she just waited for Mom.
Also, I've been told that about a week before she died, she said if it was an open casket funeral/service/whatever, she would return from the grave and haunt her husband for the rest of his life. And she would do it, too.
For the past few weeks she had been on a morphine drip and morphine pills (which seemed to cause hallucinations on occasion for her) for the pain, apparently. I just found out about this. She refused to go to a hospital for her final weeks because she wanted to die at home.
And why on Earth did I Friends Lock this? It's fixed now.
