Looks like a barge wrecked on the river, and there is a chemical leak. At first, they were saying that everyone would have to evacuate. Now, they are simply saying to stay indoors, and they'll notify people if they have to evacuate.
Oh, and they closed one lane on I-24, so they could monitor the air quality. I think they said the chemical was Cumene.
If I'm not forced to evacuate, then I'll continue writing that Highlander fanfic once everything settles down.
During everything, Mom called my aunt and told her about the chance of evacuating. This comes at a bad time for my aunt, since her kitten (Pumpkin) was just sent to the vet to be fixed. Her exact words? "But I can't leave--the baby is at the vet, and I have to stay with her!"
On a completely different subject, does anyone know of any good X-Men RPG's on Greatestjournal set during the time period when the original New Mutants were still around? (And Doug was still alive?)
I thought I had found a good one yesterday, but apparently it was closed and their idea scrapped before it even started.
ETA: According to Mom, the whole chemical spill mess is on CNN.
