The pirate poll in the previous post will be going until tomorrow morning for those who want to vote. It's almost a tie at this point.
In other news, for the past 2 (maybe 3?) days, the cat hasn't been acting like herself--just laying around, rather than trying to kill Mom. She's been throwing up, and drinking a lot of water and hasn't really been eating. So, since Mom and I read somewhere that that could be a sign of kidney failure for a cat, she's off to the vet first thing tomorrow morning.
The good thing is that whenever she starts to get sick, I firmly say "Out--that way" and she runs right to the door as fast as she can. She's smart.
Sidenote: Something similar happened to her back in 2000. At that point, she wouldn't eat or drink, and just laid there because she was so weak. (While her kittens kept trying to get milk, making her even weaker.) Turned out to be a really bad virus that would have killed her back then, if she hadn't been taken to the vet.
