I’ve been digging through the Yuletide archives off and on for the last few days, and just thought I would recommend a few of the stories that I happened to like. Including two from previous years that I hadn’t spotted until now.

These first two recs are from 2006—since I wasn’t in the Torchwood fandom back then, they’re new to me.

Deep with the First Dead Lies London's Daughter, by jmtorres. You basically learn how Jack found out that Rose and Jackie Tyler were on the list of the dead after Canary Wharf. It seems like a great behind the scenes story.

Also from 2006 and the Torchwood fandom: Interlude, by Moebius. A bit after Doomsday, the Doctor finds and talks to Jack.

Now, from the 2008 archives, separated by fandom:

The Adventures of Pete And Pete.
Today's Adventure: Wrigley Versus Wrigley When older Pete is going off to college, younger Pete tries to put a stop to it.

Boston Legal.
Fanfare, Fan Fiction, and the Fourth Wall. This story is just as surreal and out there as the show—and breaks the fourth wall just as well. While I’m not a fan of the show, I loved this story.

I’ve already recommended the Dracula story someone wrote for me.
