I now have House of Frankenstein 1997, Vampirella, and My Mom’s a Werewolf downloaded in their entirety. While searching for anything old that I’ve been looking for on the torrent site mentioned in an earlier post, I stumbled across Deafula. I thought it was a film lost for good going by a vampire movie book that I have, but apparently not.

For those that don’t know about it, it was the first and only horror movie filmed entirely in sign language. I don’t know sign language at all, but apparently it also has a voiceover for those that can hear. Just not a good voiceover or a good movie, if this review at The Agony Booth is any indication.

In related news, I won’t be downloading anything else from the site I found the above movies at, once the last of the current downloads are finished. After doing a Spyware Doctor sweep after leaving there, I see that I have 20 tracking cookies, and 9 bits of Adware.Advertising things. They’re gone now after a sweep, but it’s obviously them doing it.

At a certain point, I realized that Danielle Panabaker wasn’t a good choice in the poll, so I’ve removed her from it, and started a new one. She seemed off from how the character would be--something about her bugged me in a few of the icons, and I finally realized she just wasn't a good PB for what I was going for with the character. The other three PB’s still work, so I’ve left them in the poll. Whoever has won the poll on Monday morning--that’s the PB I’ll be using. I’ve also linked to a variety of icons for each PB. All the links wouldn’t fit in the poll, so you’ll find them right before it.

Rachel Hurd-Wood (1) (2) (3)
Rachelle Lefèvre (1)
Renee Olstead (1) (2)

According to the local news, someone somewhere in McCracken County tried to get rid of some of the larger debris left by the winter mayhem, by sticking it in a barrel and burning it.

Well, the wind picked up, the flames got a bit out of control...and 5 acres burned. The fire department got it put out easily. The people doing the burning had been without power for weeks, and had just gotten it back, only for the flames to apparently damage the lines near their home, and send them right back into the dark.

The news anchor had only this to say. "Just...don't do that. Please don't do that again!"

ETA: Ah, they clarified. It was right on the border between our county and Marshall County.
