Fannish Items of Interest
Sep. 10th, 2009 05:34 pmFor those interested, I may have found one of the stranger ficathons out there. The Omnijaxual Fic Challenge, located at
omnijaxual. It’s pairings for Jack Harkness, with everything up to and including the DeLorean from Back to the Future, the Weeping Angels, and even The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man. Go here for the pairing list, rules, and due date.
On Sunday, BBC America is having a Doctor Who marathon. The episodes included are mentioned in the first comment at this post.
Via The Empire Blog, here’s a rant about how there are just too many vampire romances these days. Favorite bit? “…(there's probably a woman alive somewhere who fancied neither Angel or Spike, but I've never met her).” Well, I’m the rare one that never fancied either vampire. Xander was more interesting, as he was someone who wouldn’t go evil—well, unless a hyena cage happened to be nearby, or a fake future self made him a jerk. Oh, and speaking of non-romance vampires—am I the only one that used to read (and loved) The Last Vampire series of novels by Christopher Pike?
