My username was once faith_of_borg, because I couldn't think of anything really good. That was because of an interest in both Buffy and Star Trek. However, I never liked Faith and am not sure why I had that bit in there--and I stopped being interested in Star Trek, so I got a rename token.
Calliopes_pen comes partly from the fact that I love Greek mythology. I've loved it since I was 2, so there's not much of a chance of my interest dying and me not caring for the name anymore. The pen aspect is because I like to write.
And in other news, Thursday is the first anniversary of the infamous ice storm that hit last year--they keep mentioning that on the local news, and say for the anniversary we might be getting ice and snow. (In addition to the surprise snowstorm that supposedly didn’t happen yesterday--it was only on my street, and things were perfectly fine on the next one) And the mess even has a Wikipedia entry.
For anyone on my friends list that wasn’t around for all the drama, here’s a link to what happened. And the link with pictures of the damage. If you’re interested, you can then follow the tag for “winter devastation of 2009,” to read how slowly the clean-up went.
