I don't suppose Jill and Kool K count, do they? I met them at Show-Biz when I was little. I think I gave Kool K--a guy in a fox costume, since it was back when Fox was still KBSI--a hug after I said hi to him. I was probably 5 or 6, I'm not sure. Mom remembers them.
If I ever did meet an actual celebrity, I might be a little bit surprised and amused, but I probably wouldn't be in awe or anything.
Meanwhile, Mom says she ran into Bruce Willis back in 1989. Or at least saw him at Wal-Mart (she thinks the one across from Kentucky Oaks Mall, not the one on the other side of town) back in 1989. It was when they were filming a movie called In Country. She remembers it vividly, because he shouted a bit of profanity when ignored, gave everyone the finger, and shoved at least one person out of his way on the way out. Charming. No fans gained in this family. Mom knows it was 1989, because that was the only time he filmed nearby--and Demi Moore gave birth to Rumer soon after this at Western Baptist Hospital.
ETA: Oh, and I just remembered. Back when the Power Rangers were popular, when I was in middle school, the ones playing them were supposed to be at Kentucky Oaks Mall one day. I went--and so did about 300 or more other kids. Turns out they lied, the people playing them didn't show up, and all we got were people in bad ninja outfits. I left before the massive fury of angered fans could erupt.
