RIP, Glenn Shadix
Sep. 8th, 2010 11:55 amGlenn Shadix passed away yesterday, following a fall in his home. He was 58 years old. May he rest in peace.
Most people knew him for his role as Otho in Beetlejuice—however, I didn’t realize he was also the voice of Nimbar, a blob-like alien brain in Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters From Beverly Hills. It was a short-lived Power Rangers rip-off from back in 1994. If anyone doesn’t remember the show, here are the opening credits, and the first 6 minutes of the first episode is here—Nimbar isn’t seen until the next portion, which is here. I watched it every morning before middle school. Even then, I knew it was awful, and that I might be the only person watching it--but I liked Nimbar.
For fans of Extreme Ghostbusters, Glenn Shadix was the voice of a Mirror Demon in the episode called The Ghostmakers.
