Peter Falk has passed away, at the age of 83. May he rest in peace. He had been battling Alzheimer’s for several years. Most will remember him as Columbo, or the grandfather from The Princess Bride. I’ve never seen Columbo and I don’t have any nostalgic feelings for The Princess Bride having only seen it for the first time a couple years ago. I’ll always remember him best from Murder By Death. In memory of him, I'll watch it on Comcast On Demand later today.

Gene Colan has passed away at the age of 84, following complications from liver disease. He was a comic book artist during the Silver Age. I know I've read some of the issues of Batman that he worked on, particularly the vampire related ones. May he rest in peace.

The only things I can come up with are the Ghostbusters video game ($150 at the only toy store that had it) from Atari, and Teddy Ruxpin ($70-$90 at Service Merchandise). We couldn't afford most toys, and those two were outrageously marked up.

The teaser for Rifftrax Live: Jack the Giant Killer. Is it just me, or does the man with the black cape and pointy beard at the 34 second mark almost resemble The Master (Anthony Ainley incarnation)?

The Ladder 8 Firehall is expected to survive, now that New York is altering their budget plan.

IDW officially announced the start of a monthly Ghostbusters comic.

Cinemassacre remembers Inhumanoids. I briefly wondered if I ever actually saw anything of it when I was 5, aside from the intro, because I thought I would remember the gore. After checking Wikipedia, I think I just watched Inhumanoids: The Movie, which compiled several shorts.

If television’s greatest scientists worked in tech support. The Doctor is there, along with Sam Beckett, but Doc Brown isn’t. If you click Expand All Comments, and Show All Discussions, be on the lookout for a comment by bluehinter, who told what each incarnation of the Doctor would do, and not just the most recent one.

When Torchwood airs on Starz, there will be two different versions of every episode. Some scenes will only be in the US version, while others will be only in the UK version.

And here's a meme that's just started floating around my IJ friends list:

Give me a character I've played and I will give you 3-5 tweets they'd write (in general or to a specific person/event, you decide). 140 characters, with hashtags, usernames, and the whole shebang
