Rest In Peace, Jonathan Frid
Apr. 19th, 2012 09:04 amJonathan Frid passed away on April 13th, peacefully due to natural causes, at the age of 87. May he rest in peace. I’ll always consider him the best Barnabas. His cameo in the Tim Burton remake will be his final role. In the link to We Love Soaps, you can also find a tribute to him from Kathryn Leigh Scott.
Mom and I will be watching several of my DVD’s of the original Dark Shadows this afternoon. With a chance of watching House of Dark Shadows, since I located a copy of that. I was a huge fan, back when the Sci-Fi Channel was airing it in the 90’s. Second generation fan, since Mom used to run home from school to watch the show.
The arrival of Barnabas at Collinwood.
Josette Jumps Off Widows Hill.
Barnabas and Burke.
Angelique Curses Barnabas.
I couldn’t find the clip where Barnabas sees Sarah, while trying to kill Julia (episode 363)—or the scene (in episode 233) where he relates the story of Widow’s Hill to Vicky and Carolyn, one dark and stormy night.
(And yet, I don’t have a single Dark Shadows icon for this post. I need to find one.)
