Rest In Peace, Rutger Hauer
Jul. 25th, 2019 12:49 pmThe news broke yesterday that Rutger Hauer passed away on July 19th, at the age of 75, following a short illness. May he rest in peace. His family wanted the news withheld until after his funeral.
I’m really not a fan of any version of Blade Runner (1982), so I’ll remember him best from two films. The first would be Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992), where he played the vampire Lothos. I thought he was genuinely delightful there. And the second one would be Flesh + Blood (1985) (which a channel called Charge! seems to show a lot around here, albeit in a censored version).
I’ll see about watching The Hitcher (1986) on Youtube in a little while. Could anyone recommend Salem’s Lot (2004)? I heard some not so great things about his performance in regards to lack of preparation after reading the film's Wikipedia page, and wondered if it was still worth it.
(I don’t have any Buffy movie icons, so have one from the Buffy series)
