Moment Of Weirdness
Sep. 2nd, 2005 12:13 pmA relative works down at the local bank. She got a phone call from someone in Louisiana. The woman said this: "I'm late on my house payment. My house is gone, and I have nothing. What do I do?"
After a lot of transfers, the woman's phone going dead, coming back, and another strangeness, she was assured that she didn't have to pay for her house. Apparently, the woman was in the middle of the flooding, fighting to survive--and was worried about her house payment.
(In other news, Bush is apparently walking down a flooded street in Louisiana--with 2 miles of the National Guard behind him. They have their guns out, but pointed down.)
