Doctor Who TV Movie, And A Bit Of Insanity

I watched the 1996 tv movie of Doctor Who, over on TV Links the other day. Paul McGann playing the Eighth Doctor is great--but the guy (Eric Roberts) playing The Master was really miscast. I would link to it, but unfortunately it seems like the movie was removed. When I watched it, there seemed to be a small problem with the audio, meaning it was out of synch just a little, so that may be the reason it was removed.

However, after a quick Youtube search, I found it in its entirety--and it’s not out of synch. You can watch it here, divided into 8 chunks.

Also? That tv movie could have been worse than it turned out it would appear, from what I read on this site. Although, the first choice of Christopher Lloyd as The Master would have been something to see. Personally, after seeing John Simm I think I just expect all versions of The Master to be completely over the top.

And somewhere on that page it tells all the people they considered for both Doctor and Master. One of the other choices for The Master? Rick Moranis.

Also, someone on my friends list linked to this, and I just thought I would spread it along for those who hadn’t seen it yet. At a convention, Christopher Judge (Teal’c from SG-1) is confused and asks what a furry is. What follows is the panel (including Michael Shanks) trying to explain, and it’s just a great moment. Judge’s response and sheer horror is truly hysterical to watch. You can watch it here. Personally, I laughed until I cried.
