A Well Discovered

People on my friends list might remember a few months or a year or so ago that I mentioned a really bad thunderstorm hit, and knocked down a tree at my grandmother’s old house, barely missing hitting the roof. Well, after everything Dad eventually removed the tree stump.

Then, yesterday afternoon, he went over there to check on things, and thought he saw a sinkhole next to where the stump had been. He moved dirt and other junk out of the way, and found a hole. Turns out to be a well. As far as he can tell, nobody knew it was there. Dad took pictures, if anyone cares...he also made sure nobody had any missing pets before trying to fill it in with dirt. Heh.

In yuletide related news, I’ve finished a general outline of the story I’m going to write. As it stands now, it is going to be frighteningly dark and twisted and not my usual style--then again, it’s supposed to be like that.
