Okay, the tornado and stuff didn't hit as of 5 PM--however, extremely high winds of 50 mph did. As of 9:45 AM this morning, the power has been out. I'm typing this from over at my grandmother's old house, on dial-up, and an extremely slow computer.

The reason the power went out? Down the street, a tree fell--from what I saw, it's 30-40 feet across, about the size of a small house. It took out two or three power lines, as well as a privacy fence. So since it might be a couple of days to get things straightened out, I won't be online for a few days.

Downtown, windows shattered because of the force of the wind. A transformer exploded, too, shortly before the power went out.

Oh, and Sean? Remember I said a section of a tree fell across the street? Turns out it took out our mailbox. The good news is that the upper half was apparently detachable, so Dad fixed it, once he finished sawing through the branch, and dragging pieces away (during the insane wind, as limbs fell around him).

Oh, and according to the news, a semi was blown off the road, and flipped over sideways. Everyone in the region is without power.
