Ice, Ice, Everywhere...
Dec. 17th, 2008 01:41 pmAccording to the local news, there’s one street a few miles from here, where the ice is so bad that there have been ten wrecks--just as of this morning. One guy even said that with one car, he was able to just push it out of a ditch, and turn it around on the ice with barely any force. Because the ice is so slick, that you can barely touch a car, and it will move.
The snow plows went by a few minutes ago, and I think when they’re done with that, they’re supposed to try to salt the roads. Except for some back roads, where they have to get out and walk and spread salt that way, rather than drive, because they can’t get over the ice.
In Doctor Who related news, David Tennant is apparently already up and walking (to the post office and back, apparently) after the back surgery. Huh. I always thought it took months to get over that, plus physical therapy.
