Voting is still going on for the Finish-A-Thon. If you want to see me write the Martha as an Immortal fanfic, or the one where Methos and Duncan go to Dracula’s castle, or one of another four prompts that there are--like the one where Donna, Jack, and Martha drink and share stories of what they’ve done with and without the Doctor’s help--please vote if you’re on my friends list. Here is the poll, located at [community profile] multific.

So far it looks like Transmetropolitan v1 is winning the poll over at [profile] noscans_daily. I voted for Fables volume 1, since I recently found volume 2 at BooksaMillion--didn’t want to read it until I found the first volume. If I were able to vote for more than one item on that poll, I would have also picked Justice League International and Kraven’s Last Hunt.

David Tennant arrives via TARDIS on Comic Relief night. This clip and one where he’s with someone from the British version of Big Brother and answering questions are all I’ve seen of him there, so far.

[profile] blognewsarama linked to the Marvel skit in the 1987 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, for those that haven’t seen it before. Starring Doctor Strange, Wolverine, Magneto, Doctor Doom, Enchantress, The Hulk, Captain America, Luke Cage, Emma Frost, Green Goblin, and Rambo. No, I’m not joking on the last bit. It must be seen to be believed--I think I also spotted Iron Man running around. They’re all fighting to the theme of Back to the Future.

For the Sherlock Holmes on my friends list, Io9 just did this article: 22 Cases of Sherlock Holmes in Science Fiction. The comments add more than Io9 lists, like Fred Saberhagen’s crossovers with Dracula. There’s a mention of Watson (played by Peter Wingfield) appearing on Sanctuary, which I haven’t watched as of yet.

I used to watch Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century. I’ve been searching for The Return of Sherlock Holmes and Sherlock Holmes Returns—both tv movies where Holmes was frozen, and eventually thawed out—so far, unsuccessfully.

I believe I’ve read Sherlock Holmes's War of the Worlds, and Time for Sherlock Holmes. I’ve read Sherlock Holmes In Orbit, too. Shadows Over Baker Street is on my to-be-read pile—I also have one where Holmes is really a time traveler, and took the name Sherlock from a Shakespearean play, with a slight alteration. (I’ll dig through my shelves if someone wants the title)

Back in the early 90’s, I bought All-Consuming Fire, by Andy Lane, through a mail order catalogue called 800-Trekker. It was just for the Sherlock Holmes bits, but technically it was my first exposure to Doctor Who.
