We're taking the cat to the vet now, to see how they think she's doing. I would say she's a little better, because she put up a fight when Dad tried to put her in the box/carrier.

I know she fought, going by the screams. Both from Mom, and from the cat--the cat's doing her constant sad meow that she normally does when Dad tries to take her. She also scratched Mom's arms, and went spread eagle as Dad tried to put her in.

Last week, when we tried to get her in, she went without a single meow, and didn't fight. So that's how bad she was at that point.

Okay, good news and bad news about the cat. The good news is that she seems to be a little bit better, in regards to her heart. The bad news? She's diabetic.

Apparently, it's not enough that she needs shots yet, so they want to try to control it with a special diet for now. The vet said that as long as she's acting like she's okay at home, then that's good. It's a good sign that she tried to slaughter everyone.

So long as she's not suffering or in any pain (she's not, and they could tell--in between her trying to jump back in the box) she doesn't need to be put to sleep. They also said not to worry about her yearly check-up, just come back in 2 weeks to see how she's doing then, too.

Pushing Daisies managed to win four Emmys.

There may be a New Mutants movie in the works. No word on whether it’s the newer New Mutants, or the Illyana version. I think it’s more likely that it would just be a continuation of the other movies.

Here’s the trailer for the next episode of Merlin.

25 Biggest TV Bombs.

Gareth David-Lloyd will be playing someone (maybe Watson, but I'm not sure) in a new adaptation of Sherlock Holmes. There’s a post about it at [community profile] torch_wood, over here.

In other news, I’m thinking of what fandoms I’ll be asking for when [community profile] yuletide rolls around. I really doubt Merlin will qualify as an obscure enough fandom this year—last time around, I hadn’t discovered it yet. I’m not sure if Being Human is too big these days or not. I’ll definitely try to get The Librarian trilogy in there.
