Yuletide, And The Cat
Oct. 17th, 2009 03:35 pmI just thought of two fandoms that really need to have fanfic written for Yuletide. The first is Justice League International, before the team was pretty much killed off. And the other is The Last Vampire series of novels, by Christopher Pike. I loved those books. Unfortunately, I’ve already nominated the only six I could, so someone else needs to do that.
And in other news, the cat was really not doing that well earlier, and didn’t seem like she was willing to eat anything, or really do anything. She finally started to eat a bit this afternoon. But when she’s really not doing very well, Mom pointed out the cat’s eyes are black. When she’s doing better, they’re blue. This is also a sign she’s about to try to kill Mom if she’s feeling well, so it’s not foolproof.
Oh, and when she was at her worst, and hadn’t felt like eating yet? Toby escaped, and came to see her. So he really does know when she feels awful. He kept poking his head in the front door and looking around, like he wanted to go inside and just stay with her. She gave him a look once he peered in her direction, but he still didn’t want to go. You can’t leave the door open all day when it’s in the very low 40’s, so Mom tried to take him back home. He gave her the saddest look the whole way, like he really wanted to just stay next to the cat. Then, he put his head on my knee, and bumped his nose against mine, before going with Mom.
Dad brought home some Fancy Feast a few minutes ago, and she’s eating it as fast as she can. So I guess she’s just at her worst in the mornings.
