It was probably Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, by Alvin Schwartz--along with the two sequels. That, and the Fear Street books by R.L. Stine--specifically, the series of books that dealt with an evil spirit killing cheerleaders in various ways. I vividly remember one death by hot shower.

Another favorite was The Last Vampire series of novels by Christopher Pike, as well as quite a few Choose Your Own Adventure books. I normally ended up possessed or dead in my endings, though. Or turned into a vampire. Those were my favorite endings.

Some kids liked Cinderella, I liked The Hearse Song. What can I say?

My auction thread is here, and the bidding is currently at $6. I am offering one fanfic of at least 1000 words in one of the following fandoms: Doctor Who, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, BBC's Merlin, The Librarian, Dark Shadows (60's and 90's series), Shrek, Buffy, Angel, Highlander: The Series, or The Addams Family.

Crossovers I'm willing to do include: Doctor Who/Ghostbusters, Doctor Who/Highlander: The Series, or Doctor Who/Back to the Future. If there's another you'd like to see and it's in the list of fandoms I can do, all you have to do is ask.

In regards to Doctor Who, I'm willing to try my hand at writing the Eleventh Doctor, Amy, and Rory. Doctor/Donna, Ninth or Tenth Doctor/Jack/Rose, Jack/Martha, Tenth Doctor/Jack/Martha, Tenth Doctor/Donna/Jack. For charity, I'm willing to try Doctor/Master. Check the thread for the characters I'm willing to try in all the other fandoms.
