calliopes_pen: (carly21 Doctor only a bit mad)
Well, the monitor bit the dust shortly after church. It lasted for somewhere between 5-7 years, it's unclear as to the exact number. For a short period, Dad let me borrow his Toshiba tv monitor--which I loved--before we switched over to a computer monitor (after Dad bought it on sale, driving through some random torrential rain on a Sunday) that was called LG E2360V. With that one, it quickly became apparent that something was off about it. Let's just say the end result no matter how much altering the contrast or brightness we did resulted in the desperate need for sunglasses.

And, for some strange reason, letters were blurry. Gave me a headache. When Dad tried to use it and had the same thing happen no matter the setting alteration, he decided to take it back--apparently, it's a known issue. That would be why it was on sale. So I'm keeping his Toshiba tv, and he'll try to get his money back. And then find a new tv for himself, I'm guessing.

Let's see--only thing left from when I first got a computer 15 years ago is the keyboard now. I almost want to take bets for when that will go.

Dad has asked me to take a quick poll of my friends list, before he goes anywhere else. What is the best computer monitor that people would vouch for?
