For Yuletide, I ended up with two stories (or three, because it looks like there’s a Yuletide Madness one still to be unveiled) this year. For The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: 1996, I received Try to pretend the world isn’t ending (we won’t let it). “The League of Extraordinary Gentlepersons has reformed, Scully is fighting the wrong alien invasion, and Carmen would just like to stop, unintentionally, stealing things.” Exactly the sort of insanity I was looking for.
For The Addams Family, I received Don’t Eat The Neighbors. “Gomez stumbles upon an arcane grimorie that details how to summon lower-order imps. Succumbing to an overwhelming curiosity, he recites the spell, rather unaware of the possible consequences of doing so.”
The recipient of the story I wrote has already read it and commented that it was exactly what they wanted.
