Fandom Stocking Is Live, And I Love My Gifts

I am truly beyond thrilled with all that I received for

fandom_stocking this year.

To sum up, I received:

-Two beautiful banners/book covers from

lost_spook, for the Yuletide story I wrote for her, as well as two icons (and two others to share because they’re fantastic) for Dracula (1968). I’ll see if I can put the second banner in without wrecking anything on Ao3 once I figure out the coding and upload it elsewhere. I'm not sure about creating a third chapter over there just to show them off, but it's an option.

Fandom Stocking Sign-Ups Are Open

Due to wanting to expand a scene just a bit more with a particular moment, and rearranging something that happens, and then fiddling with something else, the word count (until beta reading begins tomorrow, so could be far more, could be a bit less after that) for my Yuletide fanfic is 18,409 words. I made a joke at some point that maybe it’ll hit 20,000 words. I’m hoping that doesn’t come to pass, if only for the sake of anyone that may volunteer to be the second beta reader.

Fandom Stocking, And Yuletide

For anyone interested, my Fandom Stocking is hanging here. I forgot to mention this more than once during the course of the month.

Meanwhile, I’ve decided that once the authors are revealed for Yuletide, I will do a separate post about the process for the long story I wrote. It’s already written up. I suspect the story itself is too long for LJ, but it might not be too long for Dreamwidth. I’ll figure that out later.

I considered having people guess which story was mine, since that meme's going around again this year--but it would be too easy, given that I've mentioned both the length before, as well as (while searching for a beta, possibly in a locked entry) the fandom in earlier posts. There are too few stories in the fandom in question this year, meaning it would be relatively easy to guess. So I'll sit that out.

Fandom Stocking

My stocking for fandom_stocking has been hung, and can be found here. There was a tiny error in it, and they accidentally have someone else’s name in the first line--just ignore that. It’s completely understandable, given the number of people signing up.
