Nick Cordero has passed away, at the age of 41, due to covid related complications. I had been following this poor man’s saga for a while now. May he finally rest in peace. He was in the hospital for 95 days--6 weeks of that in a medically induced coma--had a leg amputated in addition to many other issues that covid caused, and would have required a double lung transplant.
My thoughts are with his wife and son, and everyone who loved him. I wasn’t familiar with his work before all of this, so I obviously need to track down a couple of his plays.
Ennio Morricone has passed away, at the age of 91, following a fall that occurred a few days ago. May he rest in peace. Not being a fan of westerns, I first heard of him a few years back, when I became interested in his collaboration with Dario Argento for his giallos The Bird With The Crystal Plumage (1970), The Cat o' Nine Tails (1970), and Four Flies on Grey Velvet (1971).
And apart from those, he worked on Short Night of Glass Dolls (1971), A Lizard in a Woman's Skin (1971), What Have You Done to Solange? (1972) and many, many other giallos.
