I suddenly remembered that long ago, for whatever reason, I had made two other Photobucket accounts (one in 2004 and one in 2005, according to the registration dating; they looked to be empty, so I had deleted stuff years ago in there). I vaguely remembered the ancient e-mail addresses for them, but not the usernames. Using the former, I was able to get the latter. So now, they are deleted, too.

And with that, I have cut ties with Photobucket completely.

Since I’m certain I have the two images for my fanfic backed up elsewhere, and that I have things settled in that location to my satisfaction, I have deleted my Photobucket account. It should be completely gone in two days, according to the little message.

I had apparently originally registered December 25th, 2003. So 13 1/2 years before I felt the need to leave.

Tomorrow, following the Men's Final of Wimbledon, the Thirteenth Doctor will be announced. So I just need to remember to stream BBC One tomorrow, and probably sit through part of that until the announcement begins. Here’s the promo for it.

Oh, and I also created a new account with PostImage. I then transferred the banner and book cover for Wrap The Cloak Of Night Around His Shoulders from Photobucket to there. Let me know if anyone has any issues with seeing either, since it currently looks fine on my end.

So…Photobucket has changed so that now you must enable 3rd party hosting in order to see embedded images that you have uploaded. And the only way to do that is to select the plan that costs $399.99 a year, which there is no chance on this planet that I would ever want to do.

So far as I can tell, it hasn’t bothered the banner for Wrap The Cloak of Night Around His Shoulders over on Ao3, but for all I know it may have for others. Is anyone having issues with seeing it (or the book cover if you go to just before the deleted scenes)? If they are replaced with that image for anybody, then I’ll come up with somewhere else to move them faster.
