RIP, James E. Reilly
Oct. 15th, 2008 12:53 pmJames E. Reilly—best known as a past writer for Days of Our Lives, and the head writer for Passions—has passed away following heart surgery, at the age of 60. May he rest in peace.
While I didn’t care for his writing the last time he was on Days, it was because of his stuff that I actually started watching the show in the first place, back in 1995. The possession of Marlena was the first storyline I watched and became hooked on the show. Back then, it was good—well, to me, at least.
On a happier note, I got in touch with a neighbor, who phoned her adult daughter (who works at the radio station I’ve mentioned in a previous post) and asked her about a list for Halloween stuff in the area. She got in touch with someone else, who got in touch with the person that runs the website, and an updated page (which apparently replaces the page for 2006 listings completely) is up now. It looks like it’s being updated every few hours, from what I can tell.
