Garbage Pail Kids? Really?
Jul. 9th, 2010 07:23 amFamilyNet--it’s a channel for happy and wholesome (and kind of dull, given the listings I've seen on the TV Guide Channel) movies and tv shows for the whole family, from what I gather. So then why would they be showing The Garbage Pail Kids Movie? Why would any channel show it for that matter?
Just...what’s the thought process behind that? Given the rating, it’s an uncut version, too. All the crude and disgusting bits intact for the whole family, on early morning television! Let the kids stare in confusion at that Facts of Life kid stealing things. Let the confusion change to horror with Valerie Vomit and her crew.
I'm not sure if it's above or below the level of Manos: The Hands of Fate.
This has been your almost brain breaking moment of the morning. Anyone that wants to see just how horrible and unfunny that movie is, I’ll dig up The Nostalgia Critic’s review. It almost broke him.
I used to collect the cards and stickers--and I had a ring of those things at one point. I put those stickers everywhere. If you look hard enough, despite everyone trying to remove them, there are still a handful hidden in various corners and closets.
