Blockbuster is having a going out of business sale this week--I noticed as I was leaving Books-A-Million, so went there. I haven’t been to a video store since the mid 90’s. I went to Blockbuster the day they opened around here, but they were too expensive, despite having a lot of old horror movies back then. That was the last time I went until today.

They did not have one single old horror movie. Since I think today was day 3 of their 6 day sale, most of the store was picked clean. But going by their comments, they didn’t have any old horror movies to begin with, not for at least a few years. I came away with the DVD of the Alan Tudyk version of Death at a Funeral, and the DVD of the first Back to the Future movie. I found Watcher In the Woods, but since I didn’t watch it when I was little, I didn’t think I would enjoy it now.

So if anyone on my friends list is near a Blockbuster, head out and see if they have anything worth grabbing.

Now, a poll connected to a previous post.

The Dark Knight Rises will shoot primarily in Pittsburgh.

Why George Takei should be Spider-Man. I love that man.

A new tv promo for Green Lantern.

The Nostalgia Critic reviews the first two episodes of X-Men: The Animated Series.

There’s a new meme, called the Let Me Smother You In My Undying Affection Meme. You post your username, and people will tell what they like about you, or something else along those lines. My comment is here.

I still have 12 Dreamwidth invite codes, should anyone on my friends list want one. Meanwhile, I dread when I finally need to transfer all my icons over there. There are just so many.

ETA: Oh, yes. I forgot to mention that last night I watched a very bizarre movie on Flix by the name of Piñata: Survival Island. About an evil piñata, going around and killing people in various ways. Ways that were done with little to no budget, from the look of it. Looked more like a stone statue than a piñata, too. Starring (and produced by) Nicholas Brendon. It was made in 2002, so he made this one during season 6 of Buffy. Just...wow.
