Fannish Items of Interest
Dec. 27th, 2011 01:31 pmCthulhu Christmas Tree.
Portal Christmas Tree.
More plot details for the pilot for The Munsters.
Mattel unveils new Masters of the Universe art for the 30th anniversary.
Alan Taylor will be directing Thor 2, taking over for Patty Jenkins.
George Takei’s Greatest And Weirdest Moments.
fandom_stocking will begin unscreening comments on January 6th, so you have until then to stuff the stockings you need to.
7 Things Patrick Stewart’s Presence Could Not Save (That Had Nothing To Do With Star Trek). I liked Robin Hood: Men In Tights.
Unused footage from The Dark Knight includes a few new Joker moments.
Gary Oldman on The Dark Knight Rises, and what he’ll miss about playing Commissioner Gordon.
There will be a new Killer Klowns From Outer Space movie in 2012—it will be a strange hybrid of remake and sequel.
In other news, I located a great copy of Fright Night Part 2, where I can actually see everything clearly. Unlike every other copy, it’s not pitch black and murky. It’s a rip from a fantastic HD airing on a now defunct channel, from what I can determine. I’ve also located a copy of DVD Delirium Volume 1: Redux, so that should be here by about mid-January. So I can mark those two off my list to track down.
Something that wasn’t on my list, but was nice to stumble across--finally locating a copy of The Giant of Thunder Mountain. Having now watched it for the first time since 1990, I can’t see why I would have liked it even vaguely back then, since I loathed uplifting movies. Dreadfully dull, but at least I've watched it as an adult.
