Bernard Fox has passed away at the age of 89, as a result of heart failure. May he rest in peace.

I remember him best as Dr. Bombay from Bewitched. He was one of my favorite characters, when I watched it in reruns on Nick At Nite as a child. He appeared as the same character in the spin-off Tabitha, and decades later (in a cameo) in the soap opera Passions. I loved his small role in The Mummy (1999). Me-TV recently aired one of his two episodes of Columbo.

More drama around here, as my sister is sent to the hospital. She apparently decided (please don’t ever ask or comment about this, this is just how she is, despite being four years older than me) that it would be a smart move to eat or drink absolutely nothing for almost a week, because she just didn’t want to. And we couldn’t convince her to. And when Mom spotted that my sister’s legs were swollen from something like the knee down to the ankle, she was sent to the hospital. Currently diagnosed (as you’d expect after a week) with dehydration and malnutrition. Oh, and for a while someone thought she had Impetigo, but no. It's just acne.

I believe (and Mom agrees) she’s situated one floor above where Nellie is currently dying, but the nurses aren’t allowed to tell Mom the exact room number, due to doctor-patient confidentiality. She’s trying to get it from a neighbor, who is currently at work.

Steven Franken has passed away, at the age of 80, as a result of cancer. May he rest in peace. If he’s who I’m thinking of, he played a warlock who was henpecked by his mother, and had a crush on Samantha on Bewitched. Where he also played five other characters. He was also in an episode of the Adam West version of Batman as a valet, and was the voice of someone in Batman: The Animated Series. His best remembered role would be as the rich and snobby Chatsworth Osborne Jr. on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, and for MST3K fans he ended up in Stranded In Space.
