I've Been On Livejournal That Long?

Perhaps it’s due to the comments being screened, but I didn’t receive the notifications for the love meme. I happened to glance in, and just saw them. Thank you (each of you will see my thanks over there, too, when those comments are unscreened) so much for the kind words and hearts, alexseanchai, azurelunatic, and elistaire. They are truly greatly appreciated.

I was looking through the payment history tab on Livejournal to see just how long I’ve had my Permanent Account over there...and how long I’ve been on LJ as a whole. My account was created on November 10th, 2003, so I’ve been there for nearly 14 years. I obtained the Permanent Account in June of 2005. I renamed my journal in October of that same year.

Back then, my username was faith_of_borg; when I began to gradually move away from my interests in both Buffy and Star Trek, I wanted a username that I wouldn’t really drift away from liking. I didn’t want one that focused on one particular fandom, just in case I jumped ship. I always enjoyed mythology, and eventually picked what I have these days.

As of right now, it’s looking like I will definitely be bringing big_damn_quests over to Dreamwidth. 8 votes in favor, 0 against. I remember what it was like when Greatestjournal disappeared before I could think to save a lot of fannish history in groups I enjoyed. Hence my whole ‘do it while there’s still time’ mentality for archiving.

The Transfer Is Complete

I have successfully transferred all images in the Livejournal Scrapbook over to Dreamwidth for the ice storm post from 2009, and switched out all the accompanying links there, and for the Livejournal side, before deleting the images in the Scrapbook.

I noticed that it had a duplicate entry. My first thought was that it was caused back when I first imported everything years ago, but no. It's that way on the Livejournal side as well, so it's an old Livejournal hiccup that occurred at some point. As there were no comments to that Livejournal hiccup, I deleted it on both sides to prevent further issues.
