General Zod will be played by Michael Shannon in Superman: Man of Steel.

Arthur Darvill discusses the upcoming season of Doctor Who. He manages to avoid any spoilers.

Being Human (the original, British one, not the Syfy version) is going to be “reinvented.” There are spoilers for the end of season 3 in the article, if anyone hasn’t already seen it.

8 Lovable Cinematic Knock-Offs of the 70’s and 80’s. As they mention prior to the list, a few of the trailers may not be entirely safe for work. They might be obscure, but I’ve seen a few of these.

They are restarting imports at Dreamwidth, following a discussion with LJ Ops team—wherein the latter made a few changes to their data export function. I have to applaud them for working together on that. I'll hold off on importing everything to them just yet. For one thing, it would take a while since this journal dates back to 2004. For another, I'm waiting for my paid account to go through--when that does, all the icons I use will make the transition.

For those wanting to back things in their LJ up just in case they need more than one place during some downtime, I still have 7 invites.

From Cracked: 6 Time Travel Realities Doc Brown Didn’t Warn Us About. Yes, the TARDIS gets mentioned quite a bit in the comments.

The 15 Cruelest Deaths In Star Trek History.

Voting for the Finish-A-Thon is over. The prompt that won the poll, and that I’ll be starting on soon, is this one: “Donna/Martha/Jack, drinking buddies--the best OT3 that never was. No smut, just a fanfic that focuses on their friendship, as they share stories and bond. The Doctor would likely be nearby, hoping with all his hearts that they weren't sharing any humiliating moments of his.”

[community profile] x_journal sidenote, that accidentally got erased when I was posting: For when Meggan will eventually try for a driver's license during the game, I realized something while doing some research. Since she's got German citizenship and is only a New York resident, there might be a lot of red tape to go through before she can do so. Let's watch Meggan go mad what I assume would be a mountain of paperwork. Anyone know much of anything about New York's laws about that? I've been going through their DMV website.

Last call for people to vote in the Finish-A-Thon, for which prompt I should write. If you haven’t voted already, there are prompts related to Doctor Who, Ghostbusters, and Highlander.

You can see a couple of screencaps from the live action Blue Beetle screen test over here. The costume actually looks rather nice. Over at Topless Robot, someone in the comments said he looked a little like something from Big Bad Beetleborgs. Couldn’t get the theme song out of my head for a little while.

Behold the sequel to Manos: The Hands of Fate. It’s fan made, and apparently will star Debbie—the little girl from the original. I don’t really know how to react to this, especially after watching the four minute preview.

A new clip from the finale of Doctor Who has just been released. Looks good so far.

There’s a chance Blue Beetle will get his own live action series. It’s the Jaime Reyes version, not the Ted Kord version. I don’t believe I’ve read any of his comics, other than what’s popped up on scans_daily, and what I heard through a review Linkara did.
