Putting this here so I can actually keep track of things. So far, looks like my month will be going like this when it comes to Halloween festivities:

October 24th, at 2 PM, I’ll be going to see a double-bill of Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein. Until an hour ago, I had thought it was only showing at 7 PM. This earlier time works better for me.

October 25th, at 7 PM, I’ll be seeing Rifftrax Live: Birdemic. (And hoping no severe weather hits this time.)

October 27th, I’ll be watching the Fourth Annual Paducah Zombie Walk. I’ve heard the times they start as both 5:30 PM, as well as 5:45 PM. Going by previous years, they may not actually begin their shuffling until 6 PM. So I’ll show up around 5:15 PM, and just wait.

They’ll be showing The Cabin In the Woods and Night of the Creeps at Maiden Alley Cinema on the 26th. I’ve already seen (thanks to Comcast On Demand) both, so I can skip that. (Especially since that would involve being downtown, at night, in a theater located at the end of an alley.)

This month for Halloween, I have now watched for the first time: Subspecies, Bloodstone: Subspecies 2, Warlock, Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween III: Season of the Witch, Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, The Omen (original), Poltergeist, Silver Bullet, The Lost Boys, Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday, The Changeling (1980), Ghost Story (from 1981), House (from 1986), and House II: The Second Story.

I didn’t post about the Zombie Walk. It didn’t take more than 5 minutes for everyone to pass on by. There was a Zombie Chef, two Zombie Ghostbusters, a Zombie Batman and Catwoman, and about 200 others. Including someone’s little Pug puppy, with fake blood on its back. 10 Songs For Supervillains.

River Song’s chronology on Doctor Who, from River’s own point of view.

The final Doctor Who Confidential included a skit with the Eleventh Doctor and Einstein, written by the children of Oakley Junior School. You can watch Death Is The Only Answer here.

Kevin Sorbo suffered three strokes during his time on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. This explains why they had to film around him for several episodes, such as when he was transformed into a pig. It was always claimed he was a little ill, or a stunt had injured him. I’m amazed he continued with the show while still trying to recover.

10 Comics Worthy of an Arrested Development-Style Comeback.

Wired lists the top 10 Halloween movies for younger kids. The only thing on the list I don’t agree with is the inclusion of E.T., but that’s just because I truly despise the film.

Rogue harnesses a cat’s powers to get out of trouble.

A listing of all the theaters screening Ghostbusters in the month of October.

According to a small ad in a local newspaper, on October 18th Maiden Alley Cinema will be showing An American Werewolf In London. I can’t verify yet, as their site hasn’t been updated. If it airs at a good time, I’ll be going—never seen it before, always meant to. On October 28th is The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which I won’t be going to see. On the 29th is the Zombie Walk—no word yet as to what will be showing after that.

Torchwood: Where Does The Series Go From Here?

Krang stomach tattoo.

Star Trek red shirt, complete with warning of imminent doom.

Filming of Doctor Who’s Christmas special has been disrupted by a 24 hour strike.

Two clips have been released for Doctor Who’s season finale. Clip 1 is here. Clip 2 is here.

Here is the schedule for AMC’s Fearfest 2011. The version of House of Wax that will air is the Paris Hilton version, and not the Vincent Price version. The Mummy is the Boris Karloff version. The version of The Hills Have Eyes is the remake. The version of The Omen is the 70's version.

WKYQ has begun to list the haunted houses in the area. So far, I know of two around here. One is in a part of town that I don’t want to be in after dark, so that’s out. The other (not listed, but I’ve seen the signs in various spots around town) is also out, since I went to it last year—had the misfortune of stepping in cow manure, and would rather not repeat the experience. The Industrial Slaughterhouse used to be called Oller’s Oddities—I can confirm they’re great, when they're closer I've tried to keep track of them. They’re too far out of the way for me this time, or I would be heading out there, but I highly recommend them for all your scaring needs if you happen to be in their area.

What horror fans should be thankful for.

The people behind the Paducah Zombie Walk uploaded their footage to Youtube. If anyone is interested, you can watch it here. Watch until the very end to get a good look at Zombie Bruce Campbell, complete with Boomstick on his back, and chainsaw on his hand.

Obscurus Lupa has posted the first part of a three part video review of She-Wolf of London here. This just makes me want to track down the whole series in time for next year’s Yuletide even more. It looks delightfully cheesy these days. As Obscurus Lupa said, it also looks as though Ian could have been the prototype for Giles.

This morning, the temperature was around 70 degrees. A thunderstorm passed through, and it went down to 42 degrees. It dropped that much in less than 30 minutes. It should drop a bit more by tonight.

Meanwhile, I see that I managed to miss the anniversary of my LJ. As of November 10th, I have been on LJ for 7 years.

Yuletide related: I seem to have pretty much all of my fanfic plotted out, and know how almost all of it should go, moment by moment. I downloaded the source material and I'll watch that in the next few minutes, just to make sure I have everyone's voices right. I'll get to work on the actual fanfic tomorrow. I've written snippets as the ideas come, and I just need to work it all together.

ETA: Given the character I'm focusing on has a bit of a tendency to free associate, he's probably going to be all over the map. That helps!
