Without spoiling anything, I’ll just say that I loved last night’s episode of Doctor Who. Neil Gaiman did a spectacular job. Even if the download I grabbed made Amy suddenly look like a blonde, and certain moments in certain locations so dark that you couldn’t see exactly where they were. Managed to see everything clearly thanks to the BBC America airing--had I missed that, I would have simply headed for another download.

Some details of the Wonder Woman pilot have been leaked. So she’s now the CEO of a company, pining for Steve Trevor “like Carrie for Mr. Big,” singing show tunes along with the radio, being goofy, wacky and awkward? Um, no. Like I said before I even knew this bit, I think I’ll sit this one out. Please, please don't let a dancing baby ever pop up on this show.

Casting has begun for the Dark Shadows movie. Reportedly, Bella Heathcote is in talks to play Victoria Winters, while Jackie Earle Healey could be playing Willie Loomis. Victoria is now a waitress, rather than a governess.

Spider-Man is going to have mechanical webshooters, rather than organic ones this time around.

After 28 years on the air, Regis Philbin is ready to retire. I’ve been watching his show since I was 7—so 22 years for me. I never thought he would retire. I honestly expected him to die on the set, or during a show first. If they manage to replace him, the only ones I can see working are Anderson Cooper (who has a show on CNN) or her husband. James Nesbitt and Adam Brown are joining The Hobbit. I thought Nesbitt was great in Jekyll, so this is good news.

The Spider-Man musical opens in November. I had assumed it wasn’t going to open at all. I love the fact that Io9 has a picture of Spider-Man, Carnage, and Venom in a chorus line, dancing through the streets of New York.

Io9 makes suggestions on what could work as the next comic adaptation series. Their idea of a Kitty Pryde series would actually be pretty good. A series for the original New Mutants or Excalibur would likely be too expensive.

As of 15 minutes ago the temperature was 101. Suddenly, it turned windy, the sky went black—and the temperature has now crashed down to 89 degrees 84 degrees. Still humid, but better than it was.

Anyone that might be wondering about Toby, he’s still fine. No more incidents. However, he has decided to come to us, rather than us going to him for the last morning or two. He was waiting on the front porch, and wanted to play. Once he was done, he went home by jumping back over the fence.
