Yuletide sign-ups are now open. About Optional Details. You can find a summary of sign-up offers and requests here. Sign-ups will remain open until October 28th. I know exactly what to request, I just need to whittle down what I’m offering. For example—removing The Shadow upon seeing a couple Dear Yuletide letters, since I’ve only seen the film, and not the radio show, serial or comics. I need to find out if Dark Shadows (60’s version—since I know the 90’s version is on Youtube, but it wasn’t nominated), Pushing Daisies, and Real Ghostbusters are available online for viewing, so I can brush up on canon—been a while since I watched those.

Putting this here so I can actually keep track of things. So far, looks like my month will be going like this when it comes to Halloween festivities:

October 24th, at 2 PM, I’ll be going to see a double-bill of Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein. Until an hour ago, I had thought it was only showing at 7 PM. This earlier time works better for me.

October 25th, at 7 PM, I’ll be seeing Rifftrax Live: Birdemic. (And hoping no severe weather hits this time.)

October 27th, I’ll be watching the Fourth Annual Paducah Zombie Walk. I’ve heard the times they start as both 5:30 PM, as well as 5:45 PM. Going by previous years, they may not actually begin their shuffling until 6 PM. So I’ll show up around 5:15 PM, and just wait.

They’ll be showing The Cabin In the Woods and Night of the Creeps at Maiden Alley Cinema on the 26th. I’ve already seen (thanks to Comcast On Demand) both, so I can skip that. (Especially since that would involve being downtown, at night, in a theater located at the end of an alley.)

Condolences to his family, and may he rest in peace. He co-produced Prometheus, and helped make films such as The Hunger, Days of Thunder, and many others. He produced the forthcoming miniseries Coma, along with working on the tv series Numb3rs. David Krumholtz posts his remembrance of the man.

CNN reports that one of Bram Stoker's writing journals has been unearthed.

This month for Halloween, I have now watched for the first time: Subspecies, Bloodstone: Subspecies 2, Warlock, Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween III: Season of the Witch, Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, The Omen (original), Poltergeist, Silver Bullet, The Lost Boys, Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday, The Changeling (1980), Ghost Story (from 1981), House (from 1986), and House II: The Second Story.

I didn’t post about the Zombie Walk. It didn’t take more than 5 minutes for everyone to pass on by. There was a Zombie Chef, two Zombie Ghostbusters, a Zombie Batman and Catwoman, and about 200 others. Including someone’s little Pug puppy, with fake blood on its back. Yesterday, I went to see The Lost Boys—aside from a few technical difficulties (and a grand total of 7 people were there, counting us) that made it a couple minutes late in starting, it went nicely.

Halloween Shows.Net remembers Mr. Boogedy. As with yesterday’s Zeke the Plumber, you can view it on their website. Like all the copies I’ve found, this one is missing Michael Eisner’s intro. However, you can see what may be what I recall at the beginning of Bride of Boogedy.

I was reading about a UK show called The Fades. Is it worth watching? I’ve been looking to find another show to watch, since the only things I currently keep track of are Doctor Who (which won’t be back until the Christmas special) and Merlin. Any recommendations for any other shows? I gave Bedlam a shot, but didn’t care for it—ended up mocking it MST3K style with Mom. Tried and didn’t care for American Horror Story.
