Remember I mentioned a week or so back that Bruce Campbell was going to officiate a marriage ceremony at a zombie convention? Well, this was followed by a ceremony (with Ted Raimi there to help) for a room filled with couples to renew their marriage vows. You can watch that here. The ritual concluded with Bruce Campbell saying, “I now pronounce you zombie and corpse. Man and wife. You may now eat braaaiinnnsss.”

Thanks to Syfy’s Hollywood Treasure, in this extended interview Stan Lee is stunned to see the original artwork for Fantastic Four #12, complete with his original notes. It’s a fascinating moment. Until this, he apparently never found original artwork with his notes accompanying it, due to always erasing them.

The Tim Burton-Johnny Depp version of Dark Shadows should begin shooting in April.

Some casting news for the new Spider-Man movie: Sally Field has been offered the role of Aunt May. Martin Sheen has been cast as Uncle Ben. And Mary Jane won’t appear in the movie at all. This is a terrible casting decision for Aunt May, even if you don’t factor in the bit where I just do not like Sally Field.

Found this out via the MST3K Yahoo Group: Rifftrax is releasing their live shows to DVD. So far, it’s just the Christmas shorts one, and Plan 9 From Outer Space. As of yet, not the Rifftrax Live version of House on Haunted Hill—just the regular Rifftrax they did before.

Flee the zombie hordes on the “Organ Trail.”

A Dalek Pumpkin. And [personal profile] eve11 made a Weeping Angel pumpkin.

This Krang costume is great. Krang’s comments appear to be recorded from the cartoon, making it even better.

I found out that Joshua Wyles Photography took pictures of all the zombies in the Zombie Walk. This is Zombie Bruce Campbell/Ash, complete with chainsaw on hand, boomstick (which can’t be seen) and fake strap-on chin. Another angle, where you can see part of his gun. Pictures of everyone in the Zombie Walk are here. Thankfully, I don’t need an account to see any of this.

Last night, we had a grand total of three trick-or-treaters. We had the door open (and the lights on once it got dark) from 3 PM, until 8 PM. We didn’t get anyone until 7:05 PM, and that was all we ended up getting. It was two kids, and their mother said to count the baby in her arms since she had gone to all the trouble of dressing it like a pumpkin. We have a huge bowl of candy left over, which will soon be given to my uncle. It might take him a few months to get through it.

How many trick-or-treaters did everyone else get? Our numbers were low because downtown Paducah was roped off for trick-or-treaters—they were expecting 2,000. That, and three or four Trunk or Treats being done, along with a fall festival at another church means low numbers for everyone else.

I've heard that Army of Darkness has an alternate ending that was only shown in Europe. Instead of ending up fighting a demon and getting the girl at S Mart, Ash ends up stuck in the future.

Has anyone actually seen this ending? Is it good? And does anyone know where I can download the alternate ending?
